THE NEW EUROKLIMA KITS: PRACTICALITY WITHIN REACH OF INSTALLATION

To meet the needs of our customers and installers, we have come up with a new solution for EUROKLIMA, our pre-insulated PLT-CSST pipework designed for heat pump systems and all types of hydronic connections.

Originally only produced in 25, 30 and 50 metre coils, for DN 20, 25 and 32 EUROKLIMA pipes are now available in Kit format with reduced dimensions and pre-assembled Eurotis fittings, allowing maximum design flexibility and facilitating installation.

Sold ready for direct connection to the heat pump, EUROKLIMA Kits are composed not only of the EUROKLIMA pipework, but also of the following elements, all produced and certified by Eurotis:

  • pre-assembled ePRESS press fittings with different combinations
  • already heat-shrunk adhesive sleeve

EUROKLIMA Kits are available in DN 25 and DN 32 and in 1.5 m and 3 m lengths.

The latest novelty introduced is the possibility of customising EUROKLIMA Kits, thus making them suitable for any type of system requirement.

Allowed customisations include:

  • the length of the PLT-CSST EUROKLIMA tube available from 5 to 20 metres. You can also choose the ideal length to suit your needs by opting for intermediate sizes in multiples of 1 metre (for example 5, 6, 7, 8 metres, and so on up to 20m).
  • the DN. To meet every design requirement, it is possible to request the kit in DN 20, 25 and 32.
  • the selection of pre-pressed ePRESS Technology fittings according to the needs of the system.

All customisable kits are also already fitted with the black heat-shrinkable sheathing to protect the pipe-connection area and insulation. They guarantee simple, immediate and safe installation without the need to use any tools, plug & play system to adapt to any system configuration, guaranteeing maximum practicality.

Installation of a system with fifty heat pumps connected with EUROKLIMA.

On a construction site in Verona, consisting of 7 buildings with a total of 50 individually managed apartments, Eurotis tubes were the ideal solution for the heating/cooling systems.

The heat pumps, installed on the roofs of the buildings, are connected via the EUROKLIMA DN 32 PLT-CSST pipe, which runs easily through the cavities to the storage rooms.

All this has been achieved without intermediate fittings, ensuring maximum reliability, reduced leakage and fast and efficient installation.

The joint between the EUROKLIMA tubes and the various units was made using Eurotis patented ePRESS Technology press fitting system. This has guaranteed maximum tightness on every type of system thanks to the double compression of the fitting on the pipe.

The advantages
  • Rolled tubes facilitated transport and installation.
  • The tubes already with insulation meant that the installer did not have to worry about insulating the tubes.
  • Continuous sections of PLT-CSST were installed without joints, with only 4 ePRESS fittings per line (heat pump and storage).
  • Installation times have been reduced by 80% compared to traditional materials, also reducing costs.
  • The installer managed to meet the delivery deadlines.

CASE HISTORY: Installation of a system with two heat pumps

Installation of a system with two heat pumps connected with EUROKLIMA.

Carried out for the upgrade of an existing building in Lumezzane (BS), the site included the installation of a heat pump system consisting of two outdoor units, both with one supply and
one return line.

The outdoor units and the central heating unit were connected with the Eurotis PLT-CSST EUROKLIMA DN 25 formable corrugated pre-insulated tubes, specifically designed for heat pump systems.

The joint between the EUROKLIMA tubes and the units was made using Eurotis patented ePRESS Technology press fitting system. This guarantees maximum tightness on every type of system thanks to the double compression of
the fitting on the pipe.

The formability of the tubes also allowed only eight end fittings to be used, avoiding the need for elbow fittings.

The advantages

  • Rapid installation. The pipe is bent manually without using tools. This ensures easy installation even in
    awkward environments.
  • Reduced costs and installation time. The pipe allows for manual bends, even greater than 90°, thus
    avoiding the need to insert elbow and length fittings.
  • Safety in the system. Euroklima is made from an insulated stainless steel pipe that guarantees corrosion
    resistance and durability.
  • High performance. The 13 mm ultra-performance coating with micro-cell molecular structure has been
    specially designed and tested to ensure reliability and durability.

ISH 2025: WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU IN HALL 6 STAND A50

We will be exhibiting at ISH, the world’s leading trade fair for HVAC and plumbing solutions, from 17-21 March 2025.

Also for this 2025 edition, the ISH trade fair presents itself under the slogan Solutions for a sustainable future.

This ‘tells’ the theme of the fair, which focuses on sustainability, energy efficiency and new technologies aimed at achieving climate protection goals by promoting the conscious and responsible use of available resources.

At this edition, on our stand A50 in hall 6, we will present our latest innovations and systems, consisting of PLT-CSST corrugated stainless steel pipes, which offer versatile solutions for various installation requirements. These find application in gas, plumbing, solar thermal and heat pump systems and promote high performance combined with energy efficiency.

EUROKLIMA: HEATING DISPERSION TEST

Being part of a market increasingly focused on energy efficiency and sustainability, we have conducted a series of tests to evaluate the heating dispersion of EUROKLIMA pipes. These tests were carried out to provide accurate data on the thermal performance of our product, ensuring that it meets our customers’ needs in terms of efficiency and reliability.

The tests were carried out at the Tecnolab laboratory of Lago Maggiore S.r.l.

What was our goal?

The main goal e was to evaluate the heat loss of EUROKLIMA pipes under various operating conditions by analysing the performance of the insulation: exposed to different water temperatures and environmental conditions in controlled situations.

High temperature testing

Steps:

  1. Conditioning:
    The tubing was conditioned in a thermostatic chamber for 1 hour until it reached ambient thermal stability.
  2. Fluid circulation:
    Heated water was circulated within the pipe for 15 minutes.
  3. Temperature measurement:
    The temperature of the outer surface of the insulation and the outer surface of the PLT-CSST pipe were measured after 15 minutes.
  4. Temperature increase:
    The temperature of the fluid was gradually increased, and the internal temperature of the pipe was brought back to the initial conditions (20°C) before proceeding each new test phase.

Test conditions:

  • Ambient temperatures: 0°C, 10°C, 20°C, 30°C
  • Water temperatures: 40°C, 50°C, 60°C, 70°C
  • Holding time: 1 hour after temperature stabilization and 15 minutes before reading for each fluid temperature.
Low temperature testing

Steps:

  1. Conditioning:
    The tubing was conditioned in a thermostatic chamber for 1 hour until it reached ambient thermal stability.
  2. Fluid circulation:
    Chilled water was circulated within the pipe for 15 minutes.
  3. Temperature measurement:
    The temperature of the outer surface of the insulation and the outer surface of the PLT-CSST pipe were measured after 15 minutes.
  4. Temperature increase:
    The temperature of the fluid was increased, and the internal temperature of the pipe was brought back to the initial conditions (20°C) before proceeding with the next test.

Test conditions:

  • Ambient temperatures: 25°C e 35°C
  • Water temperatures: 6°C e 12°C
  • Holding time: 1 hour after temperature stabilization and 15 minutes before reading for each fluid temperature.

Tests showed that…

  • The external surface temperatures of the insulation showed minimal dispersion ensuring good thermal insulation capabilities.
  • Temperatures recorded under the insulating layer show a significant difference compared to external conditions, confirming the effectiveness of the insulation in reducing heat transfer to the outside.
  • Pipe insulation ensures stable thermal control.

The results obtained confirmed that EUROKLIMA pipes are effective in reducing the heating dispersion in all tested conditions, demonstrating their effectiveness in both heating and cooling systems and in general in any application where it is necessary to transport hot or chilled water.

EUROKLIMA: the innovative piping for heat pump systems

Always committed to the world of energy efficiency, environmental sustainability and new technologies, we have developed a new line of piping in the plumbing sector called EUROKLIMA.

Conceived, designed and tested to meet the specific needs of heat pump systems, and for any type of hydronic connection for heating or refrigeration, EUROKLIMA piping guarantees energy efficiency and high performance.

Suitable for installations and connections with all types of hydronic heat pumps, specifically air-to-water, water-to-water, geothermal, and absorption heat pumps, EUROKLIMA piping is also distinguished by its 13 mm insulation thickness, designed to ensure limited heat loss. This feature contributes significantly to preserving the energy efficiency of the system by reducing waste.

EUROKLIMA: pipe features

The materials  

The tubes are made of AISI 304 stainless steel, insulated with a 13-mm thermal lining system of extruded and expanded elastomer conforming to EN 14304 that ensures strength and durability.

The tests

EUROKLIMA piping has undergone extensive testing to ensure reliable performance under extreme conditions.

Tests at low temperatures have demonstrated the pipes’ ability to maintain structural integrity.

High-temperature tests confirmed their robustness and physical stability in thermally elevated environments.

In addition, moisture tests have shown that EUROKLIMA pipes successfully prevent condensation. They maintain their functional characteristics without risk of degradation or corrosion.

The formability

Equipped with extreme formability, thanks to the minimum thickness of 0.3 mm and the radius of curvature of corrugations our PLT – CSST pipe, is manually bendable and easy to install even in narrow and confined spaces thus contributing to lowering the cost of installation work.

 

 

The range 

EUROKLIMA is available in three diameters to accommodate plant configurations so as to offer maximum design flexibility:

  • DN 20  
  • DN 25 
  • DN 32 

These pipes do not result in reductions in flow rate because the bends, made manually, do not ovalize the internal section and avoid bottlenecks and ensure smooth and efficient flow. Along with all sizes, black heat-shrink sheath will also be available for protection of the insulation lining in case of outdoor installations.

EUROKLIMA: connection systems

EUROKLIMA provides two joint systems:

  • The press fitting system ePRESS Technology, patented by us, is based on the innovative technology ePRESS that combines the reliability and formability of PLT – CSST pipes with the convenience of press fitting system. This mode guarantees maximum tightness as the installation of the joint is done by compressing the fitting onto the pipe ensuring a joint in maximum safety for any type of system. 
  • The flanging system is the most widely used
    in the plumbing sector, provides a mechanical tube/fitting seal by compressing the last two corrugations of the PLT – CSST pipe.
